I think maybe smoothies have gone out of style a bit, but I still make them quite often for a healthy breakfast or snack for me and the kids. The combination of the strawberries and the bananas has always been our favorite, but sometimes I switch up the strawberries for nectarines or peaches when they’re available in the summer.
makes three 8-ounce smoothies
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1 1/2 cups sliced frozen bananas
1 cup frozen strawberries
2 tablespoons ground golden flax seed
2 tablespoons wheat germ
1/2 teaspoon honey
Place all of the ingredients into a blender and process until very smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
